Lovely Cherubim Of Blue
I can feel it… feel him.
I drop my coffee, yelping when it splattered to the ground, the cold soil around me quickly soaking it up. His breath tickled the back of my neck as I slowly craned my head to the side, not even wanting to know what he was doing until I heard a soft giggle. The autumn leaves crunched under my feet as I spun around, eyes wide open with horror—but… nobody was there. He was somewhere in the trees, with golden leaves that were ready to fall out in preparation for winter. I stumble onto my knees and squeeze my eyes shut, as the giggles continue. Seconds of maddening laughter pass, over and over and over again, and when my head felt like it was about to burst, they finally stopped.
The sound of feet landing on the dry leaves and the whoosh of wind made me flutter my eyes open and squeeze my chest with panic as I crawl back a few steps. A saint like figure, so pure that words could not even begin to describe him, stood looming over me with a playful, yet dark smile. A rush of dark blue floods my head as I stare at him, such a powerful aura who’s vessel was a person that could only be seen at first as a beautiful blue haired boy.
“How cute, you will make for a lovely puppet! Those beautiful eyes of yours will surely catch the attention of brother.” the Blue Haired Boy spoke in a smooth, calming voice, that for some reason made me want to surround myself in it because it was so soothing, despite the disturbing words he said.
“But first,” the Blue Haired Boy dug his nails into his own left arm and ripped out one of his blood vessels without any change in expression. I scream as the iron-like smell of blood filled the air as red dripped from his elbow and fingers onto the leaves, turning them a vibrant shade of orangey-red. He reaches out and shoves his bloody finger into my mouth, and I almost choke on the metallic, salty taste.
“—First you have to ingest God or Cherub cells to be able to transport to the next pocket realm.”
Pocket realm…..?! All I wanted was to have some coffee on the way home.
