STORY STARTER
Inspired by Kail Cleo
Create a story by writing multiple diary entries from your character (or multiple characters intertwined).
Try to make each entry build from the last to add to the storyline. If you switch perspective, make it clear that it's someone else's journal.
Diary Of Mine
Dear Diary,
I didn’t do anything special today. Just the same boring things I do everyday — wake up, eat breakfast, go to my job, come back and eat dinner while watching the news, and then sleep. My routine hasn’t changed since they left.
Dear Dia
Dear Diary,
I forgot to write yesterday. My doctor put me on my medications again. They never listen to me. I am better now, so why must they persist? Obviously, I’m not going to take the drugs.
I know my body better than they do.
Dear Diary,
They are back now. I don’t want to tell the doctor, or he will give me stronger medications. They tell me it’s my fault my mother died, but I don’t want to believe them. My mother didn’t die because of me. She didn’t.
Dear Diary,
I haven’t been taking any medication still — I just lie to my doctor, and he believes it. But more of them have appeared. They keep blaming me. But it’s not my faulty mom died. It’s not my fault. It can’t be.
Dear Diary,
It’s not my fault my mother died. It’s not my fault my mother died. It’s not my fault my mother died. It’s not my fault my mother died. It’s not my fault my mother died. It’s not my fault she died. It’s not my fault she died. It’s not my fault she died. It’s not my fault she died. It’s not my fault she died. It’s not my fault she died. It’s not. Not. Not. My. Fault. Fault. That. Woman. Woman. Died. Died. Died.
