There was a relief in feeling the storms approach

The thunder rolled between the clouds

And the lightning filled the streets

But only for a mere second

The storm approached us fast

But lingered below

It would leave damaged goods

As it blows through

Nothing can save us now

Perhaps if the summer were to leave

The storm would brew another day

Then my laughter could maybe stay away
