COMPETITION PROMPT
Water, fire, earth, and air. What would the four elements say if they could speak to each other?
Include as many or as few elements as you wish.
Sounds of Nature
Fire speaks in roaring flames
That rise and twist and turn
That leave their dark, proud, ashen mark
On everything they burn
Earth speaks in rumbling, deep and slow
Where rock and stone do meet
Where crystals shine and metals gleam
Far down beneath our feet
Water speaks in waves that crash
And then in tiny drops
And then in sparkling river's songs
From coast to mountaintops
Air speaks in breezes, quick and light
Or storms with flash and thunder
Or gusts that shout with brutal force
And tear your pleas asunder
They speak to you as well as me
Then call to one another
Then they return to earth, sky, sea
To our eternal mother
