The Ruby Enchantment
Along with the deceiving enchantment that lures me into a gust of fog, I tighten my grip on my cloak hood and continued my steps, through the narrow crimson road.
Today is the day.. the day the celemony starts. I should be going to the ceremony, celebrating the 100th anniversary of our elders’ birthdays.
But something is calling me.. calling me to come to them. Who is it? Who is calling me?
As I come closer to unknown destination, the voice calling out to me became louder, clearer, quicker.
Suddenly, I was met with a sharp arrow-like plant. It’s not just one, in fact, there’s a army of it. I quickly came to a halt and manage to stop myself from being stabbed by sharp weeds.
I cautiously grabbed on the side of the plant and move them aside, making sure I’m not in contact with the sharp part.
It felt like an eternity when I finally managed to to get out of the needle-like tangles.
The land on the other side was completely different than where I came from. It was… strange looking. The trees was young and thin, the place feel spacious, and calm. I took a step in astonishment. The faint sunlight shine on my shoes. The sky were covered by greedy clouds, fighting each other in dominating the sky. The air was, however, still filled with fogs. In fact, it was even more foggier than before. I can barely see what’s on the other side of the fog-covered area. Although I am able to hint out a little bit of a red colored object. Without a doubt, I walked toward the red object, trying to get a more clearer view of it.
Eventually, a large steam train came into view. It stood with confidence, yet gentleman-like, on its spot. I was too, in shocked at what I had saw. I had only seen steam train in books before since we frequently uses horses and cart to take to places. This train was engraved with gracefully decorated windows and inside was a their individual room with two comfortable chairs facing each other, and a table standing in the middle.
I was still in awe when a sudden engine noise interrupted me. I looked to the left and saw a door attached to the train opened up. I walked to the opened door and looked around near the outside of the train, before I stepped inside the steam train.
The train door closed promptly after I had fully gotten in.
I looked back at the closed door. For a moment, I regretted my decision of stepping into this unfamiliar, yet welcoming train.
The engine worked together as the sound clickered and clackered against each other. The train started to move.
_Too late, _I thought to my self. The moving train had left me no room for regrets. Consequently, I return my focus back to what is in front of me inside the train. I sat on one of the columns of each individual room for sitting. I sat on the seats in the first room. Hand placing on the desk in front of me. I looked outside through the window beside me. The view was beautiful. It was mesmerizing. It looked so relaxing and cozy. The bushes where I came from covered the thorns and needles behind it. Hiding away the painful darkness from the view of harmony.
The train continue to move along to the left direction. Leaving the bushes behind like abandoning an unwanted memory.
_I wonder where the train is going to take me…_
