I quietly walk into the house clutching the suprise. Im an 34 year old dad who has two daughters ages 7 and 9. They have always wanted a dog. So like any good dad i bought a new corgi puppy named Charles. “Girls, come here!” I yell through the hallway. “Coming.” I here both there little feet running down the hallway. They both stop immediately when they see whats in my arms. “No way!” “You got to be kidding me” they practically scream. I put the dog down so they can pet and see there new best friend. But as soon as the dogs paws touch the ground it runs out the door. I try to grab it but it slips out of my grasp. “Noo…” I run after that little dog, but that slippery beast runs and runs as never stops, soon I cant run anymore. (I recently got a hip surgery) I sadly return home. To the door still wide open and both my daughters crying on the doorstep. “Hey, guys.” I says once they see me. “I’m so sorry.” “It’s okay daddy. I made some poster to find Charlie.” “I love that! We will hang that everywhere.” I respond. “Hop in the car, let’s go find that dog!” I try to say that as sure as possible. We drive for at least 10 minutes and soon I see a teenager around 17 holding Charlie. I slam on the breaks and hop out of the car. “OMG. That’s my dog!” I say. “Really, what’s your name?” “I’m Richard, the dogs name is Charlie. These are my children, thus dog was a suprise for them.” I explain. “Okay here you go!” She says as she hands the dog over. “Daddy we found him!” Says my oldest, “I know baby, i’m happy to.” I say as we hop back into the car. “Now let’s close that door.” We get home and relax with the newest addition to our growing family.
