(this part takes place 100 years prior to the story but it was to long to be a prolouge so I decided turned it into a whole chapter)

It was the year 1922 in the only forest on the magical island of Volstronia, where the trees tower of you like giants, where the the sunlight barely peeks through the thick canopy, where the lake shimmers like emeralds, where the most scrumprious berries grow and the sweet song of the birds can be heard throughout. Amidst this enchanting forest, a little girl plays hide and seek with her younger sister, her

laughs echoing through the trees as she counts to ten with her eyes closed. Her sister, hiraeth, scurries off into the shadows. As the girl finishes counting, her heart races with anticipation eager to find her sister in this game they played countless of times before. "I'm gonna find you" she declared with a mischievous grin on her face. The girl had curly strawberry blonde locks that cascaded down to

her shoulders, framing her rosy cheeks and bright blue eyes. She walked slowly towards a moss covered boulder nesting between two grand oak trees as old as time. "Aha!" She yelled but Hiraeth was not there, just then she heard the sound of a young girl giggling coming from a nearby blueberry bush, clarity creeped over and pulled the branches to find a 12 year old girl with light brown hair, long

face and tan skin, her baby blue dress covered in branches and squashed blueberries. "I found you!" "you may be able to find me but you cant catch me" Hiraeth replied in a sing songy voice. And the two sisters raced through the forest giggling, occasionally stumbling on tree roots, they ran into a clearing possibly the only spot in the whole forest where you can fully see the burning rays of the sun. Sudenly stopped she was standing on the edge of a waterfall with the most captivating emerald lake underneath, "there is no where left to run" clarity taunted hiraeth looked down at the lake then back at her sister and said "are you sure?" Then with a cry of joy she leaped into the lake. Clarity waited a few minutes thinking hiraeth was playing a trick on her, "okay hiraeth you can come out now" no response, "Hiraeth

She yelled trying to hide the fear in her voice, still no response, clarity paced around the edge debating whether she should jump in or go get help "oh why did I want a baby sister" she groaned, she took a deep breath and with a cry of terror she jumped into the lake after her sister. She swam around underwater a bit till she found her hiraeth gaping holding onto an obsidian

stone her jaw hanging, yet she was breathing. Clarity tried shaking her but it was no use, she was in a trance, clarity started to panick she was running out of breath, but with all the strength she could muster she dragged Hiraeth out onto the cool sand. She was breathing quite heavily now, still holding tightly onto the stone "I am going to get help I will be right back" and she sprinted through the forest

horrifying thoughts filled her mind, she finally escaped the forest and entered the village, she was so distracted that she bumped into someone and fell onto the floor "exporrame Im so so-" clarity realized who she had bumped into, she was starstruck it was none other than...
