Let Go
Wavey and hazy,
Too long passed for me to find,
Memories of you,
Fall down valleys in my mind.
It’s time I leave them behind.

I don’t know anything about Tanka form, but I enjoyed this poem. I loved that it makes me see “memories” as a physical, tangible object falling through valleys (in your mind). This was a great play on words and quite a magical adventure to read! Thank you for sharing this!
Hi! Really like this. I don’t know anything about Tanka’s so my critique will be a bit thin. Very creative and easy for just about anyone to relate back to an experience of their own. Great rhythm and you have tightly tied it to your theme. Poetry seems to be one of your strong points. Great job!
Hi...thanks for your comments about my Drunk Rudolph poem. Actually the fifth stanza follows the rhyme of the third stanza, which is slightly different if you sing the tune. But I appreciate your feedback immensely! Btw have a great Xmas!
This is sweet! I like this
