Sunshine
It must be so lonely to be the sun
Everyone says the lonely one is the moon
But she’s never alone
Someone’s always singing her tune
But the sun is forgotten
A common past
Taken for granted
Praise gone too fast
For without the sun where would we be?
Frozen to death with no moon to see
The moon is merely a reflection
A diluted version of her beauty
But it hurts to appreciate
Her rays burn us brutally
Yet here we are
Awake every morning
Here before dawn
That’s when she’s tired too
Her brightness isn’t as strong
Here you can tell her how beautiful she seems
Because she deserves it
After all it’s our very lives she brings
