WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a short love story, where you cannot describe anything directly or in its real sense.
Metaphors, metaphors, metaphors!
Apples
The first day I saw you, we talked about apples.
Regular apples.
The ones that grow in your grandmas backyard.
Since then I’ve learned how you like your apples;
Preferably in juice form, but if not, then green apples are the way to go.
Every store visit, I buy you an apple.
Not because you asked, but because I know you will want it.
And even after our story faded, I buy apples.
Green apples. Just like the ones in your grandmas backyard.
I never got to taste those, but with you gone, no more fruits exist.
I’ll love you until every green apple vanishes from earth.
