POEM STARTER
Write a descriptive poem which portrays a busy city.
You could use metaphors, imagery, and appeal to the senses, to really capture the feel of a city.
City Life
The buildings are so big
Peoples dream’s even bigger
People shout
Pigeons fly
No stars can shine in this nights sky
I close my eyes
And try to sleep
But the sound of honking awakens me
With buildings so tall
I cant help feeling so small
I guess the city life isn’t for me after all.
