Will and Loren walked out of the movie theatre. They held hands and smiled at one another as they approached Will's car. Will, like the true gentlemen that Loren had come to love, opened the car door for her and waited as she entered the vehicle. Will got into the vehicle and smiled at Loren as he said " So, did you like the movie?" She shrugged her shoulders " it was okay, I guess. I usually enjoy a good mystery, but that one was a bit boring." "Yeah" Will agreed disappointedly "it definitely wasn't one of the better mystery movies that I've ever seen." They talked on for a while longer and then Loren noticed "I guess we got a little carried away" she said with an undertone of surprise " looks like the theatre has closed and we're the only ones left" Will looked around surprised they had been talking that long "time flies when you're in love" even he couldn't believe he actually said that, he sheepishly turned away from her half hoping she hadn't heard, but his hopes where deflated when he heard a snicker coming from Loren. "Did you really just say that?" She smirked sarcastically "you're a little red in the face Will!" Loren goaded "you aren't embarrassed are you?" She said sympathetically. "That's the last time I try to be sweet" Will said with a mixture of embarrassment, anger, and a lot of hoping she'd fall for it anyway. Loren started to reply but everything suddenly went dark. Sounds began to return to Loren's ears, the sounds were building like an eerie symphony. The sounds started with an intense ringing in her ears, like that of the brakes on a school bus, next came the pounding of blood pumping through the veins in her temples, then the sirens of quickly approaching emergency vehicles. Consciousness began to return to her mind and she opened her eyes but everything appeared as if she were looking at the world through a privacy glass door. She blinked and rubbed her eyes, the sirens now seemed mere blocks away, her surroundings were still a bit fuzzy as she turned her head to look at Will. Loren's heart dropped to her stomach and a feeling of utter terror poured over her like a full body baptism into a nightmare. The car looked like a scene at the butchers shop after a long days work.
