Write a short story or poem about a couple’s anniversary that uses weather as a motif.
Motifs can affect a reader’s view of characters and story greatly. You could use adjectives typically used for weather to create the characters, or metaphors of weather to describe relationships and scenarios.
Fate
They say that love is hopeless
And that it always ends up in mess
But if love becomes hate,
Does that mean you are my fate?
Worthless vows and powerless sins
I don’t know if you are one of my wins
Should I take my chance or leave?
If i lost you, will I forever grieve?
The path seems too hazy
Is it really or am i too lazy
I think I’m just timid about it
Or petrified about the hit
But as I take this step, i shall not long
That taking the road not taken was wrong
