“Open the door!” Katie shouted as she perpetually knocked on the bathroom door.

“I need to brush my teeth still and we need to leave!”

It was the first day of 6th grade for Katie and the first day of 5th grade for her brother. The problem is, they share a bathroom. That darn bathroom… seems to cause more issues that it should.

“I’m almost done! I’m brushing my teeth!” Colin said with frustration.

“You can brush your teeth AND let me in to do the same thing!” replied Katie, annoyed that this was even a discussion.

Katie was assertive. She was always five steps ahead. But, instead of this gift working for her, it occassionally seemed to work against her, making her feel frustrated at others for not being on the same page when she was already in a different chapter.
