Her breaths are slow and even, the mountains and trees are a blur, Nat looks down red dripping from her vision “what have l done” she thinks over and over. Dom lunges for Ethan pulling Natalie from the blood she flinches as their swords clash together, it has been hours of them fighting they hadn’t even noticed the war was over. They ripped apart shouting at each other ‘what are they even fighting about’ Nat screamed as pain erupted from her shoulder rippling down her arm panicked she looks around frantically for Jake., ‘what’s wrong’ ‘MADDY’ Jack shouts The center of the arcopeago flashes through her mind ‘hurry' Jake's voice runs though her head. After one last look to dom Nat takes off towards Jake. Pain shoots though her abdomen ‘what is she doing to him’. As the edge of the island approached Natalie pulls on her magic, leaping off the cliff pulling the frozen ocean up to meet her, she leaps from pillars of her own making. Once on the next island she breaks into a sprint, pulling her focus and magic together willing her body to shift. Suddenly a hole rips though her chest, Natalie falls to her knees silently as pain, unimaginable rages though her. “ Jake” Natalie breathes ‘Is Dom with you’ his mind is filled with torture. ‘No’ ‘Then stay there don't come’ She was already trying for the shift again, she needed to get into the air. 'Don't please she'll kill you’ the grief in his voice, then the sharp trist of a knife in her chest has her on her knees again, panting crawling at the invisible wounds. 'She's killing you damit if I could just shift’ panic laced her every word. ‘I'm shifting then I'm on my way' her voice was cold as she blocked out his pain. Pulling her magic, the steps Jake has drilled into her again and again listing off in her mind. Sharp pain her own this time clears her mind further she takes three deep breaths imaging her skin morphing into scales, her lungs expanding and becoming hot, her wing bursting from her back. There's a burst of light as finally Natalie rises her head letting out a triumphant Roar before launching into the sky towards Jake. ‘I'm coming’ power like never before flows though her and not just magic a new strength filled her body. With a flex of her tail and a powerful beat of her wings she speeds though the air her large body feeling empty. A hunger like she’s never known. Jakes pain breaks through her mind and in a body that now matches his she can feel exactly where Maddy is hurting him. The empty places inside Natalie fill with burning rage as she takes in all of Jake's pain pulling her magic with it and strikes. Natalie had flown high above where Jake and Maddy fought and as she dove for them she saw Jake falling though the sky with Maddy on his chest a sword plugged just below his heart. The trees and mountains bellow blurred as red consumed her vision “What have you done" Natalie says softly All the techniques Jake has talked her though, she has watched him execute hundreds of times come rushing into her mind as she dives along his side. Flicking her tail down she twist her self parallel with him ripping Maddy off with her claws and giving her wings one hard beat pushing her self away, tightening her grip around Maddy she immediately tipped into a dive desperate to get under Jake as he was now unconscious, free falling. As she came up from under him she sees the tip of maddy's blade peaking out from his back, his blood drips on to her back as she slows her decent. ‘He’s heavy’ Natalie struggles to slow them down frantically back beating her wing as the ground races toward them. As they crash to the ground Natalie lands on her back legs sliding Jake to the ground behind her before throwing Maddy forward as far as she could, she rolled several feet before stopping, struggling to get up. Natalie came crashing down on her hands and knees the previously small cut on her back from the tip of Maddy’s sword is now a large gash across her upper back. Pushing her self up she turns to run towards Jake, Natalie makes it three steps before Maddy tackles her to the ground.
