You don't have to say why they feel this way, but try to detail their behaviours and thoughts which help portray their embarrassment.

A flush pours over me and dyes my cheeks pink
My mind is a mess, I forgot how to think
When doubt is my bedfellow, intertwined in my dreams
And I spend waking hours figuring out what it means
This twisted ambivalence sent from above
I guess this is what I can attribute to love
