Our Bridge
In the forest, we found ourselves by a bridge. I could sense how much magic was used to keep this bridge hidden. The bridge had a golden glow to it. We couldn’t turn back now, not when we so close to finding the truth. I grabbed Lucine’s hand and squeezed.
“We’re almost there.” I said.
“And almost to the truth.”
We stepped forward. The bridge had a weird sensation to it, like we were going to burn if we stayed on it to long. We started walking and the bridge turned too colorful to fully describe. It hurt my eyes to look at, but we kept going. Eventually, we reached the other side.
On the other side, the world glowed. There was a shinning city. The city looked was tall and majestic, like something you would read in the old myths. We reached the city of the dead gods. It’s still as luxurious as the day they disappeared.
“We’re here.” I breathed out a sigh of relief.
