Nature’s Revolution
The sea painted gray
Turned from a sparkling blue
Now a violent turmoil of waves
Havoc and ruin left in it’s wake
It is almost time.
Winds no longer gently caress.
Instead, a stranger with vicious animosity
A friend from so long ago,
turned savage and brutish
A revolution to come.
Forests once bursting with life
Now quiet in anticipation
There are whispers of change
And promises of requital
Soon. Very soon.
Nature does not know defeat
And we are waging a war
It’s wrath will find us
Razing all we’ve built
The time has come.
