POEM STARTER

While chasing your ghost, I became one myself.
First Love
While chasing your ghost,
I became one myself
An empty skin of the person I was before
I loved you when we met
I loved you when you loved me
And I still loved you after you left
The tears that stained my cheeks at night
One.. two.. three..
counting the tears was like counting my mistakes
I supported you when no one else did
That beautiful bracelet we both wore
A representation that our love would last,
Now that bracelet is a necklace
Something you share with someone else
It’s my fault for not being over you
I can’t get mad at you for moving on
It’s not your fault you’re not broken
It’s not your fault you don’t still cry at night
Hoping to god that every notification is from me
And it’s not your fault you can love again
I hope she sees you as I did
I hope she drops everything to help you peruse acting
I hope that when she looks at you she sees her future
But most of all, I hope she never lets you go
