POEM STARTER
Write a blank verse poem on a topic that's important to you.
Blank verse poetry doesn't rhyme, but has a very strict structure which builds a melody through rhythm. (One way to create this is to structure each line with the same amount of syllables, and the same syllabic stresses, like you might if you were writing the verses of a song.)
VOICES IN MY HEAD
They are the voices of a million me,
They keep me second guessing my every move,
They are the reason I never say it as it feels,
They are the voices of a perfect me,
The voices of my thousandth mind,
The voices that serves me judgment,
They are the voices of my fourth and eleven eye,
The voices that brings me answers,
The voices from which I hear the world,
The voices always awake in my thoughts,
Speaking even while I sleep,
They are lamps fixing my steps,
Though not always right,
Yet better than every me without those eyes,
They are voices of hidden comfort
They are voices whose ways are made in my head
