“Out At Sea”

Jan, was out on her small boat, enjoying the beautiful morning. The weather was very nice and the water was calm. Jan, decided to drift and dozed off. After a while, something very large bumped her boat, she jumped up what was that, she look over the edge and saw a very large shadow. It frightened her, really bad for what ever it was, it’s larger than her boat. Once again it returned and her boat got turned around. On my God, what was that she thought, so she started paddling fast, as she could trying to get to shore. Once again the boat was bumped this time she was carried further out to sea. Jan, was panicking, what do I do? How can I escape this creature, what can I do ?

Finally, everything went silent, Jan was very scared. She was looking around when a great white came out of the water and grabbed her and over board she went. Two fishermen, from a distance watched the encounter. Oh my God, did you see that Tom? Hell ya I did , that woman was taken out of her boat by that great white. I have never seen anything like it. Tom and Billy, had a lot larger boat they knew they would be safe. They went over to where the woman was taken overboard. Oh my said Billy, the water was a bloody mess. There was no trace of the woman. Tom and Billy, tied the small vessel on to there’s and took it back to the port. As they were arriving a small group of people came running. One of them called out. Hey mister where did you get that boat?

We brought it back to shore. Where is Jan, I’m sorry, but Jan did not survive. We watched from a distance a great white come out of the water and as it was going over the boat it grabbed Jan and took her under water with him. We rushed over to the scene, but there was nothing we could do. Jan, went under and never came back up. The water was a bloody mess . We waited around hoping she would surface, but she never came back up. This great white was larger than her boat she was in. It was the craziest thing we have ever witnessed. Everyone were beside themselves, everyone was crying. Frank, Jan’s brother spoke up, look there’s nothing that can be done, these men said she was taken over board and never surfaced. Let’s keep it together, Jan would have wanted us too. Well at least we all know Jan, loved the ocean and if she died at least she died, enjoying being out at sea. She would go out every other morning, knowing the risk and that is how she lived her life taking risk. My sister was a remarkable woman, I can honestly say she lived her life to the fullest. Therefore we should all remember her as the wonderful person she was while with us. Jan’s body was never found except a few pieces of her clothing that the fishermen had gathered out of the water. It doesn’t matter how we go as long as we die doing the things that we love doing the most. Amen and everyone went back to their places until further notice.

Frank, thanked the fishermen for bringing her boat back and telling the story as they seen it. Years have passed now and the memories of Jan, have never been forgotten.
