It came to me like snails come to gardens: ready to consume. It has one goal just like the snails do. To eat To eat anything in its path It didn’t matter how big or small Red or green Pretty or mean It came to me like the snails to gardens It wasn’t going to stop until it’s belly was full It didn’t matter how big or small I was It slowly consumed me like a snail in a garden It ate until I was nearly gone Withered and broken No longer tall
