Catβs Grin
βYouβd have to be an absolute fool to believe that!β She cried.
βWell I do.β I tell her.
βI ainβt buying it.β She said shaking her head.
βI thought you wouldnβt, but I hoped you would.β
Amy wrinkled her brow at me, she really doesnβt believe me. Sheβs supposed to be my friend but she doesnβt even believe me, though, to be fair, it does sound rather unlikely.
βItβs true.β I insist.
βProve it.β
I bite my lip.
βI knew it, you canβt prove it so it isnβt true.β
I canβt prove it because there is so many people around. Amy turns to leave.
βWait!β I cry, βIβll prove it but just not here.β
I take her arm and pull her towards the house. We go inside and up to the bedroom, I canβt risk my family seeing.
βOk, Iβll show you.β I said.
βIβm waiting.β
I close my eyes. I take a deep breath. I shiver as I feel the familiar tingling sensation on my skin. I feel ground appear beneath my hands. I hear Amy gasp.
I open my eyes and see Amy standing open mouthed and wide eyed looking down at me.
βItβs true?β She whispered.
I nod.
βYou can shape shift!β
A smile spreads across my face before I transform back.
βIt was a bit weird seeing a cat grin.β She laughs, obviously not sure what to say.
βIβm glad I told you.β
She smiles at me.
