Mangos and Rocking Chairs
I want to eat mangos with you
while we laugh about our day
as the juice from the fruit
drips down our chin.
I want to sit on balcony rocking chairs
holding hands with ease
surrounded by ocean views
serenaded by the waves
caressed by the breeze.
I want to hike the pico Duarte
highest point in the Caribbean
camp overnight in fancy tents
create memories with every moment
we spend
together.
I want to grow old with you
fill our home with so much love we burst
live a life of joy and peace
but I need to meet you first.
