How bottled up

my emotions were

just waiting to burst

like an overfilled balloon

Until I spilled my guts

to my sister

The words, the comments

Hung heavy in my mind

Now they are out to someone

Not trapped in a cage

It was a relief

A two ton weight

lifted from me

Because she understood

And nothing feels better

than feeling seen
