Than it was initials of lovers

Crossed in a tree

A marriage of ampersand

Returned to sand

Than it was a proclamation, born of anger

Following an amnesty

A treaty

A letter

A map, than a code

An X with O

Followed by

X’s and O’s

The message at the end of time

Was actually a conversation

It said if you see me at the beginning

We were never complacent _**

For all the tides, and the salt, all the sand

All the stars, the moon, the sun

Existed for the same reason they started

To prove we were loved

**And so it began again.**
