Create a sense of urgency and importance to what they have lost, and think about how you can develop your story to build up to the moment they find this item.
Lost
My body filled with excitement. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I was getting ready for my concert. In less than 20 mins, the curtains would be up, and millions would be watching me play my french horn.
I quickly put my horn down, and went to get some water. I was going to be playing Fur Elise, by Beethoven, and Adagietto from symphony, by Mahler.
When I got back I couldn’t find my horn! Oh… God. I could probably just fibd it later, but right now I needed to create something! I wondered why they didn’t have extras?
I had to think fast. I spotted duct tape. I ran straight at it and grabbed it. Hmmmm… what else could I use?, I thought. I found a PVC pipe, and a funnel.
I jumped with joy, as I finished my horn. It didn’t look as good, but it would have to work!
I realized it was my turn to play. I was terrified for my life. It could either be the best thing or the worst…. surprisingly it sounded amazing!
The melody was perfect. Everyone clapped as I finished. The curtains finally fell.
I searched the room for my horn… nothing. My case! I looked in it.
“Oh my god.” I muttered to myself. It was in my case this whole time!
