The Vanity

_I am made entirely of flaws, _

stitched together by good intentions.

__

Not lacking in virtue by all its laws,

_Though, _

who has achieved their personal brand of perfection?

__

Oh, do point me in their direction…

__

I will be the mirror,

_For those who aren’t yet vain or wise enough _

to hold one to themselves.

__

And once captivated,

Caught in all their illusions of grandeur…

Having become them,

I will reflect them.

Reminding them of the ego they so adore,

And revealing the imperfections they wish to ignore.

__

For at the very core…

They are made entirely of flaws,

Stitched together by good intentions.
