Test Of The Heart

(I didn’t do any poem stuff because I am bad at it, LOL. But there is a deeper meaning behind the story)

Brave’s breathes were getting weaker by the minute as the evil beast attacked him. He tried his best, clawing and roaring, but strangely, they were stronger. One of them cackled as the chewed on the bone of an innocent, deceased gazelle. The leader of the hyena clan lunged towards him and pinned him to the ground. Brave’s breathes were even more labored by now, but he refused to give in. As he clawed and scratched, the hyena leader bit his neck. Crimson blood oozed from his thick neck, and he knew the end was nearing.

Suddenly, the clouds parted and a white lion with glowing yellow eyes leaped down. He had a flowing mane and a brave smile. He spoke in a deep, low voice. “Hyenas, if you wish to see the light of day once more, I suggest you let Brave go.” The hyena leader laughed nervously and said: “hahaha, s-sorry King David… we will be on our way.” The hyenas fled quickly, and Brave lay there on the ground, shocked. “My Son, Brave, you were well… brave in the battle, or my Test Of The Heart. You are welcome to the Pride of Clouds.” Tears flowed down Brave’s cheeks as he ran to embrace the King. ‘Finally,’ he thought, ‘I a, being released from the test and the Pride of Earth, and welcomed into a more heavenly place.’ Brave, The King, and soon Brave’s sister, Hope, were all embracing in the Pride of Clouds and they all lived happily ever after… Yes, maybe it is cliche, I believe once you go to heaven, you will truly live in a fairytale.
