For Elders As Old As You

The beauty of a person is overlooked,

Mostly because, at first glance,

You see what your mind tells you,

Maybe someone too young,

Maybe someone too old.

Maybe someone who doesn’t look the best,

Maybe someone single and depressed..

Who knows what someone is going through,

Who knows what someone has seen,

Who knows what someone has gone through.

Never judge a book by its cover,

They tell children of three and four,

But four-real? It goes through one ear,

And out the other.

Maybe you should tell yourself that,

Maybe retract that,

Maybe re-say that,

For those words, matter a lot in the long run.

For children.

For adults.

For elders as old as you.

(sorry just a joke😂)

(So sorry about the comments they are messing up for me, I will ask about it)
