POEM STARTER

“Open skies beckon in something broader.”

Write a poem that begins with this line.

My World Is Dark

Open skies beckon with something broader Yet my eyes refuse to open Maybe it's the fear of what lies behind these shades Or the obvious truth I know I need to face Either way, my eyes will have to open Whether now or ever later I will never be prepared For what horrid sights I'll see Since my eyes refuse to open At this point, I might just die From the urge to know what lies behind these eyes And yet I'm still afraid to ever look threw them (Please give feedback I'm only an amateur writer)
