The hours of staring at a dampened patch on my pillow,

Where the soft fabric catches my tears

Like a forever in slow motion

A time continuum of fear.

A shout, a smile, a heartfelt laugh!

My eyes alight,

My face aglow.

Boom,

Crash,

Catching lightning.

Boom,

Crash,

That moment, taken by gusts of timeless wind.

Desolation in my mind as dreary hours drag on.

A week of Mondays

Would do me better.

A dance, a clap, a shake of hands!

My head spins,

My hand shakes.

Howl,

Thud,

Storms rage.

Thud,

Rumbling hurricane.

Time whisks away the moment,

Forever lost in this tremendous torment.

I await the sun

Of a marvellous moment.

A joke, a chat, a cup of tea!

My mind dances,

My cheeks rosy.

Roar,

Sob,

Time slows.

Roar,

Sob,

My heart groans.

But the light breaks through the dark clouds,

As time returns, and my smile relights.

For in this trap of time, moments slow

When I am not with you.
