Green Broke

“C,mon harper it’s not that hard” miss kelly sighed jumping off her horse. “But she keeps kicking me off!” I snapped getting off the ground. Hoping onto the horse she demonstrated swinging her right leg over the horses back releasing the pressure for it to adjust and soon making small movements until it had calmed down. Jumping down from the horse she clapped her hands together dust falling from her, “see? It’s a peice of cake now you try” she suggested giving me a pat on my shoulder.

A few months ago I had been riding my horse angus when a snake had spooked him and I was launched off of him. I had a few broken ribs and a concussion but luckily I would be allowed to ride after a few months later.

Although I was all healed by now my body was still physically weak and incapacitated but I had to push myself. I had to compete in the competition next week. And so, determined I climbed up onto the horse using all the strength I had, Holding onto the reins I slowly released the pressure and began moving forward calming it down, “I did it!” I squealed riding around the paddock then jumping down.

Miss Kelly clapped smiling at me, “ Weldone, you’ve solidified your first horse” she said meaning broken.
