POEM STARTER
Write a blank verse poem on a topic that's important to you.
Blank verse poetry doesn't rhyme, but has a very strict structure which builds a melody through rhythm. (One way to create this is to structure each line with the same amount of syllables, and the same syllabic stresses, like you might if you were writing the verses of a song.)
The Day.
When i wake up, i think of what tomorrow may bring. The idea of a new day. The ability to breathe in the cool air in the morning.
Doing this sort of thinking makes me hopeful for forever. Knowing i can look to a brighter day will make things move faster, but slowly.
I see how gray sometimes it can be in the morning, when the sun starts to peek a little. I look to the clouds and see more colors of some blue. Like how the skies used to be many times before. The weather is so unpredicable at times, but we know what this means,
That the sun will always be there tomorrow, and bid farewell when it lowers.
Knowing this always gives me the time to reflect like how it reflects its rays on me. Time to see what tomorrow brings.
What a beautiful day.
Not knowing the inbetween?
how exciting…💕
