A Journal Entry from a Mad Scientist’s Colleague

After weeks of stress and preparation, our thesis is nearly complete for tomorrow’s presentation. However, my partner Dr. Roman Sheckler has just recently been demonstrating quite erratic behavior.

He is becoming more reserved than ever before, constantly mumbling inaudible utterances under his breath. Also, his sudden lack of enthusiasm for our work deeply concerns me. Is he not aware that what we have in store for the university could potentially ignite a revolutionary procedure for oncology? If I were him, I would feel ashamed of myself for not savoring the moment.

Hopefully he’ll be able to get a hold of himself before our big presentation tomorrow. He appears to be hiding something from me and I wish that he’d be willing to communicate with me on the task at hand. We need to do what we can to make the future brighter, even if it’s only slightly.
