POEM STARTER
Write a Horatian ode to a fictional character that you admire.
Horatian odes are short lyrical poems that deal with themes of love and friendship. They are written in stanzas of 2 or 4 lines, with a consistent metrical pattern.
Diri/and
The darkness waves before your presence
This light does sway often evanescent
Your words they speak an eye full
It’s hard to keep my distance
Mist amongst a humid layer
Not once did fear display in your lair
Mine eyes dare lose focus
No soul could ever be theirs.
