The Exam

“What had happened?”

_What had happened?_

Just a couple drinks, and…

It ended with her here, getting examined.

A kind lady sat across her. In a white coat.

While the one girl spoke, the other took notes.

“He bought me a drink.” She knew that part for sure.

She remembered him, his deep blue eyes, so pure.

Not knowing his intentions were to lure.

At the bar, the man said something, it made her laugh.

Shortly after, her memory started to crash.

“I only remember bits and pieces.”

Her lips start to tremble, her heart rate increases.

“I think he slipped something in my drink.”

She faintly remembers throwing up in a sink.

“We will test your urine” says the kind lady in white.

“Do you remember if you put up a fight?”

She tries to think back to that awful night.

One drink. Then black.

Stumbling out to his car. More black.

The next thing she knows she’s forced on her back.

She tries to tell the lady in white, but her memory fails her.

The girl starts to feel like a failure.

But bruises on her skin give away his ill behavior.

How could this happen? Did she dress too provocative?

The drug test comes back. It’s positive.

The girl hated that she was right.

The truth finally came to light.
