The youthful faces of kindergartners fill Lucy’s vision, all grinning, eager to learn. The teacher began explaining math, how to add. “And 3+3 is… 6!”

The children gasp, finding the new information to be rather astonishing. “So, if 1+1 is 2, and 2+2 is 4, and 3+3 is 6 then what is 4+4…?” A little girl asked.

Lucy looked down at her watch. “Oh, I’m sorry Sophie, I’ll have to answer that later! Its nap time.” She grinned at the children's happy expressions.

She began laying out the cots, blankets, and even set out some stuffed animals, watching as the young children carefully crawled into their cots, cuddling up under the blankets.

Lucy hit the light switch, and darkness engulfed the classroom.
