Golden radiance

The star lives in darkness, stuck in the loneliest corner of the universe. None of the other stars wanted to dance with her. How she longed for the flickering warmth, even if it was for a single moment...flames sparked, a desperate attempt to attract a dance partner but other stars turned a blind eye, already having found their partner. Her flames died down like a candle, destined to burn, but for how long until it ran out of wax to melt?

"la...llaa,la...can anyone hear me...?"

A sweet-sounding lullaby...followed by a gentle request. A hopeless yet desperate cry.

"Yes, yes I can hear you!" she called. "Can you see me? can you see my light?"

She shuns her flames as brightly as she could. A star was calling for her! It had to be.

"Yes, I can, you burn so brightly, you're exactly what this world needs." The voice sounded delighted someone heard her. Perhaps the other star is also lonely like her.

"Where are you? I can't see your flickering flames." She asked, looking vigorously left and right.

"Behind you, but I am no dying star," The soothing voice stated firmly. "I cannot dance; I cannot burn but I can sing..."

The star turned around, and there she saw the owner of the tranquil voice. There were no other stars there, only a pristine white figure, in a ball up position, head flited up and eyes begging.

The stars flames reduced their size in disappointment, turned away, back towards the other joyful stars.

"Wait, please, don't turn away!" "I've traveled far and wide across the Milkyway, no other star would burn itself as brightly as you do."

The star was not convinced. stars cannot burn bright by themselves.

"Beings made from stardust are afraid, they live in darkness. My humble glow is not enough for them. Your light will make them sing and dance for you."

Beings formed from fallen stars, could she dance with them? intrigued, the star pushed through the open, dark space like a graceful dancer.

"Bring me to them, they will dance with me and in return I shall give them light."

The pristine figure shook her head. "They are too tiny to dance with." The star frowned. "If I learn to dance, will you join me? I will sing too."

the star thought about the offer...

"Very well, a dance...is a dance, and your voice is rather lovely." She agrees. A dance partner is better than none.

"Thank you, thank you! You will be worshipped for an endless amount of time." The Pristine figure glittered with joy, her surface reflecting the stars radiance. "Follow me, follow me!"

The pair set off together, holding hands flying between the universe and the Milkyway while sparkles of white and yellow passed from them.

"what's...your name?" The star inquired with intrigued.

"I don't have a name...the beings I watch over; humans I call them. They like to call me Luna or simply moon."

"A very fitting name for such an immaculate figure like yourself." The star smiled at her, and it was returned equally. "You can just call me star."

"You burn more intensely than other stars." The moon complimented. "I'll call you..."

She paused.

"Sunny! or sun for short."

"Sunny...sun." "Yes, thank you I like it." The sun smiled, her flames glowing in pleasure.
