Who are we when no one is watching?

The question that is never asked. Why? Because no one wants to see what lies beyond their vision. No one wants to know that they’re wrong. They believe what they see until they learn otherwise. Sometimes, they don’t believe that until they see it.

Whatever lies beyond their line of sight is heartbreaking. It’s change. It’s scary. It’s something they don’t want to see.

They don’t want to see the truth, but it always comes out eventually.

So, maybe it’s time to show them who you truly are. What secrets do you hide? What lies have you told? What lives have you destroyed? How many years have you cried beyond their line of sight? How many times have you said you were fine when your heart was breaking? How many times have you smiled when you felt your soul being torn apart over and over again? How many times have you had to fake liking someone? How many times a day do you hide the real you?

So, again I ask, who are you when no one is watching?
