Today was the best day ever. My dad came to visit me after I moved away. He has never made that effort for me and it was the most special thing. He even bought me flowers!

Mom just died. I’m so heartbroken I can barely right. But now I have to live with dad and he lives out of state. I don’t want to move; this is my house.

Dear diary,

It’s been 3 years but I decided to write in you today to let you know that I made it. I made it though high school and now I’m living on my own and working at a coffee shop. Dad and I still talk and he got married to Ally.
