POEM STARTER
Write a poem that could be titled ‘Cloudy’.
Whether you stick with weather imagery, or explore emotive ideas, try and keep this title in mind as you write.
White Clouds
_Where are they?_
_Looks like they’re not out today,_
_Guess I’ll just wait for tomorrow._
_Are they out today?_
_huh,_
_Not today either,_
_Maybe tomorrow they’ll be._
I took a peak out my window,
Looking for something,
Something, fluffy,
In the sky.
For the past few days, they haven’t been seen,
The weather just wasn’t right,
So I kept on waiting,
Until today.
I saw them from my window,
I sprung out of bed and slipped on my shoes,
Then bolted out the front door.
_Finally, they’re here,_
_I’ve been waiting._
I looked up to the sky,
How beautiful they were,
Taking on many shapes and sizes,
Figures and hues.
