Change Hurts
What some brand corruption
Others praise as evolution
Like the hands of wind and water
molding the Earth
beneath the pale light
of rainbows
The wind will make mountains
that man will seek to climb
The water will stretch
the once-stolid lips of limestone
And oh, how those rocks will sing
I have heard the monochrome melody
Rushing through stalactite teeth
Combing though the sand
And I note the change it brings
At times it's evolution
A pained, progressive change
Yet there are days the shifts cut
far
too
deep
the rock
crumbles
the sands sting my eyes
And I have no name for these changes
other than
