Hidden Appearances And Halloween Parties Part 2

She didn’t realize there was alcohol in the punch till her friend told her. By then she could hardly stand. Eversor had to help her walk. They had been there for hours. He said goodbye to her friend for her before trying to coax her into leaving. He wasn’t upset at her at all, but he was having a hard time keeping himself from smiling or even laughing. Even though she was drunk she was smiling and laughing at everything. She said things that didn’t make any sense. She started to walk away from him and he had to pull back towards the door. He picked her up as she laughed. One of the other guests opened the door for him. She already seemed half asleep. He walked back to her house carrying her bridal style. She had her head resting against his chest. They get to her house and he lays her gently on her bed. He takes off her cape and shoes as well as her fake teeth. She had taken out her contacts a half hour into the party cause her eyes had started to hurt. He pulled the covers over her and began to get up to turn off the light.

“Eversor?” Her eyes were still partially closed.

“Do you need something?”

“G’night…love you.” Her words slurred slightly.

He didn’t understand why she said it. But for some reason he was happy that she did.

He couldn’t help but smile with a loving look and whisper back “love you too.” He swept the hair back from her face and kissed her softly on the forehead. He left back to his room.

She wakes up the next morning with her head hurting.

“When did I get here?” She couldn’t remember much anything. She had been talking to one of her friends and Eversor had been there. Eversor! She ran out of her room to find him. She looked on the couch and he wasn’t there. She checked in the kitchen and he wasn’t there either. She finally looked in his room to find him asleep. He stirred awake at the door opening.

“Need something?” He asked, still half asleep.

“No, I just wanted to make sure you were still here.”

She took some pain meds for her throbbing head and got ready to go to work. She got ready to walk out the door but called to Eversor that she was leaving.

“Alright, love you!” He yelled back.

“Love you too?”

Where’d that come from? She vaguely remembered saying something to him last night. All she could remember was his back as he left her room and her forehead feeling faintly warm.

When she gets to work her friend is giggling at something on her phone. She goes to see what it is.

“What is it?”

You don’t remember?” She teases her.

“N..no, what?”

Her friend shows her her phone. On it is a photo of Eversor carrying her with her arms around him. She’s leaning against his chest half asleep. She’s also drooling. She immediately starts blushing and is embarrassed. No wonder he had said that. He would never stop teasing her about this.

“Ah don’t worry, besides you have your very own knight in shining armor. Also we should totally go on a double date sometime.”

“I told you, we’re not dating. We’re not even together.”

“So he’s available?”

“No, well yes but”

“But?”

“Can we just start working and talk about this later?”

“Sure, take all the time you need hon, I’ll be waiting to hear your excuse this time. It better be good!”
