STORY IDEAS

Since I have already finished this prompt, I wanted to share some story ideas so that I could decide which idea to pursue for a project! (That was a long sentence.) The genre for these ideas is romance + [_____] All characters would be in their teenage years or early twenties.

1) Caleb and Kamila (“Gas Station Blurb,” “Not So Cozy Café,” and “Raised Pulse.”) *Romance + Crime*

After a reunion at a gas station, a goofy violinist finds herself trapped within a web of robberies and criminals. One of the criminals, she discovers, is her childhood crush who still remembers the deal from kindergarten. With a more recent deal, the two are at peace. Until a used-to-be trusted accomplice comes into the picture and starts to tear them apart.

2) Jace and Liliana (no stories yet) *Romance and realistic fiction*

Liliana Adams has always wondered how romance stories blossom in high school. When met face to face with the couple of the year, Lily’s reporter instincts appear once more and bring her this close to discovering her new romance book idea. Until one day, the couple breaks up, and Lily’s left with Jace.

(Lily’s a fiction writer, and she’s a reporter for her school.)

{Still figuring out the total conflict…}

3) Gabrielle and Oscar (“The Idea Worth Loving”) *Romance and ????*

Oscar is an award-winning actor tired of his career. The same old boring shows about fake “love.” But when he gets a role on a TV show about fighting, and he starts learning karate, Oscar is suspended in air indefinitely. He starts loving his job, especially when his karate instructor is a girl his age who he grows closer to.

CONFLICT: Oscar finishes learning karate easily and the show moves away after the first season. It takes months before the two finally meet again, and when they do, Oscar discovers that Gabby has turned to the side of crime.

4) Seth and Aysha

After breaking up with his long-term girlfriend, Seth struggles to find himself again. But when he meets Aysha, a counselor in training, he starts to find himself again.

Aysha’s always wanted to help people, and she thought she could do that by beginning to train for counseling. But, after helping a close friend, she’s starts questioning her talents.

(I don’t know about this story. It has potential, though.)
