You live in a world where you get a magical power at a certain age. The older you are when you get the power, the stronger it is.
Try to write from the perspective of an older or younger character than yourself, considering the scale of their powers and how they fit into this fantasy world.

The law states you must receive your powers by age 10. This notion is widely accepted by the community because everyone knows that the older you are when you recieve your gift the stronger it will be. The only thing is, no one actually knows, because anyone who hasn’t received their gift by 10, is executed!
