Paul L. Dunbar 6/27/1872 - 2/19/1906

Mr. Dunbar was an American poet, novelist and short story writer of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was one of the first African-American poets to gain national recognition.

As many of you are aware of, I have always respected and cherished Mr. Dunbar’s writings.

Mr. Dunbar has always inspired me to write

from the depths of my soul, and I will forever

cherish his legacy.
