POEM STARTER
Write a Petrarchan Sonnet on the theme of Autumn.
A Petrarchan Sonnet has 14 lines; the first 8 must have a rhyme scheme ABBAABBA, the last 6 can have variable rhymes, but are normally split into 2 sets of 3 lines.
See The Leaves
a chilling breeze
as I open the door,
but I only wanted more.
I look up at the trees,
how I love their leaves!
how can one be poor
with so much to adore?
it’s time to grab the keys!
lets drive away
and rock to the sway
of a life beautifully at ease!
take in the display,
of this autumn day,
Before winters freeze!
