The scars on our hearts are not seen by the naked eye, so I wonder how does one tell?

It’s written in the face, the wrinkles or lines tell you whether that heart has been scarred but more importantly if they have learnt from those scars.

The eyes are the windows to the soul, they tell you deep down what they have been through and if you look deep enough they tell your story.

It’s written in their words, do you hear truth or do you hear lies?

It’s in the actions of the person, do they scratch their arm or twitch their nose? Do they do things for you and not expect anything in return?

But to really tell a good one from a bad or ugly one, it’s written in your mind or your gut instinct rather. Does your mind do somersaults when this person is near? Does your thoughts lead you down the garden path to the dark alley? Or is your mind quiet?

You see, the scars on your heart may be invisible but if you really look, listen and feel, you can tell whether that person is genuine or just out for themselves.
