When The Leaves Fall

My love is true; it’s loyalty and faith are never ending. Me and my boyfriend, Nathan, have been dedicated to one another for over 5 years now, and we’ve never been happier.

I know Nathan like a book. I’ve seen his worse and his best. I know his little quirks and can easily tell when he’s lying. I know that he is allergic to certain cottons and types of rice. I know when he’s feeling off, and I especially know when he’s not feeling right.

I know he’s not feeling right currently.

I know that every single second he’s with me, he isn’t right. He’s exhausted now, sleeping all the time. He struggles to do the most simplest things, like shower and put on a new set of clothes. He avoids eating. He doesn’t even play with Lucy, his favorite dog, anymore.

I know that I’m only making it worse; he’s trying so hard to put so much of himself in this relationship and I’m only entertaining it. Every day I see him grow worse, like a plant deprived of water. I cant bare to see him like this, not anymore.

He clearly needs time to work on himself, his health; and although I might leave him, I won’t stop supporting him. It’s better this way.

Right?

No it’s definitely better this way. He’ll come back to me when he’s healed, when he’s healthy and happy.

For now though, I’ll have to wait and watch at the sidelines. I’ll still be there for him, just not as his lover. But my love still remains for him, it’ll always. So this is why I must leave.

Oh I can’t wait to see you bloom again. As a leave falls and reblossoms again in spring, so will you.

My love for you will never diminish.

Sincerely,

Your past lover, Anemile
